  • HSUS and PETA have done nothing to help out the animal situation. They have only lined their own pockets. PETA's agenda is to make sure no one will be able to own an animal, as a pet or otherwise. They have been found euthanizing animals by the hundreds and dumping them in dumpsters.

  • Until the financial crisis hit us, where indeed many an owner has had to turn in their pet because they can't take care of them properly, there has been a shortage of puppies and young dogs for the shelters to adopt out. You may find this hard to believe, but it's true.

  • What the heck took them so long? A reputable breeder would rather cut off his/her right arm than to sell a puppy to a pet store (any pet store), at a flea market, at 1st Monday Trader Day or without personally interviewing the prospective buyer.

  • jheast, I agree with you 100%. Steve, you are being very narrow minded. I am a Democrat that would have voted for Powell in a heart beat. I know many of my friends, of both parties, would have done so, as well.

  • I was very proud of how Obama presented himself tonight. Again, McCain could barely look him in the eye. McCain was very disrespectful using, "That One Over There." He was talking out of both sides of his mouth and lying through his teeth. Is that "folksy" enough for you, Gov.
